An innovative technology is brought with the new Alpha SAS 01, a single component, clear coating based on hybrid polymer technology. The coating improves and enhances the natural appearance of the flooring and provides a polished finish with anti-staining properties.
It can be used to protect concrete and cementitious floors to retain their value and appearance for years to come and protect against abrasion and scratching.
Alpha SAS 01 is a ready to use product that does not contain isocyanates, epoxy resin or amines typically used in traditional floor coating systems.

Alpha SAS 01 is suitable for the following applications:

HANDLING & APPLICATIONS
The general application information presented here is based upon typical conditions determined by Alpha Adhesives & Sealants Limited testing. Our recommendations on the use of this product are based on methods believed to be reliable. It is advised that users conduct their own tests to determine the suitability of the product for their specific application.
All substrate surfaces should be cleaned of any dust, grit, loose material, wax, grease and oil.
Once the container of Alpha SAS01 has been opened, a thin, crystallized skin will form on top. Prior to reuse it may be necessary to remove the layer. The uncured product underneath the layer will still be suitable for use.
Do not stir the product before use as this will introduce moisture into the bulk liquid and reduce the shelf life of the product.
As this is a moisture curing product, it is recommended that small amounts of material is decanted into a suitable tray. The container should be closed after use. Do not pour excess material back in to the original container.
The material should be applied with a short-hair roller to avoid formation of bubbles during application.
SAS 01 should be applied in two coats. The first coat strengthens the floor. The second produces a homogeneous surface that increases scratch and abrasion resistance, and makes the floor polishable.
Each coat takes approximately 12—24 hours to cure dependent on temperature and relative humidity of the location.
For best results, it is recommended that no pressure is applied when coating with a roller as this could produce bubbles and affect the final appearance.
Each coat should be a very thin layer over the flooring surface. The consumption for the first coat should be approximately 50 grams per square metre. It is recommended that the second coat should be applied as a thinner coat than the first, at a consumption of approximately 20-50 grams per square metre.
The rate of cure is dependent on the ambient environmental conditions and the humidity content of the floor surface.
No traffic should be allowed on the treated surface within 24 hours after the second coat has applied. After 24 hours, foot traffic can be permitted.
Clean tools immediately after use with T559 (TF). Clean hands with a proprietary hand cleaner.
HEALTHY & SAFETY INFORMATION
Alpha SAS 01 is classified as hazardous according to Directive EC 1272/2008. Please refer to the Alpha SAS 01 Safety Data Sheet for further health & safety information.
Alpha SAS 01 should be stored in its original container, in dry conditions, properly closed and at temperatures between 5°C and 20°C. Alpha SAS 01 will keep satisfactorily for up to 12 months from date of manufacture if stored according to the recommended conditions.
