PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

The following technical information and data should be considered representative or typical only. Therefore, the information should not be used for specification purpose.

HANDLING & APPLICATIONS

The general application information presented here is based upon typical conditions determined by Alpha Adhesives & Sealants testing. Our recommendations on the use of this product are based on methods believed to be reliable. It is advised that users conduct their own tests to determine the suitability of the product for their specific application.

The strength and durability of the bond is dependent on proper surface treatment of the tyre surfaces to be bonded.

The tyre surface should be buffed and cleaned prior to application of the adhesive. All surfaces to be bonded should be dry, clean and free from dust, grit, wax, grease or oil before hand.

A2024 can be applied using a conventional air assisted spray gun system that must not contain any brass or copper parts.

The A2024 adhesive should be applied evenly to the tyre, ensuring that no runs or drips are present. Drips or runs slow down the drying process.

The tyre is ready to retread when the adhesive film has completely changed from white to clear with no white specks present. If the tyre is retreaded when white specks are present the new tread will blow at the points where there was water present.

Bonded assemblies should be left for 7 days before physical testing is conducted.

For wet material, it is advised that any spillages be cleaned up immediately with soapy water before the adhesive can fully dry.
